The ION XL is not as smart as the iRobot j7+, but it is an excellent alternative if you don't wish to spend more than $500 on an automated cleaner. It's superior to the eufy RoboVac 11S, in many ways. It's more easy to maintain and has lower costs for recurring maintenance. It also performs better at vacuuming bare floors and removing pet hair, but it does not perform as well on lowor high pile carpet.

It's also not as robust as the Roborock S8, but it is a great option. The ION XL is a powerful machine with a huge capacity bin. It is controlled by an app or a voice command, and is simple to maintain. It also comes at an affordable price.
