The Roomba 694 from iRobot is a robot vacuum for entry-level use that works well on bare floors and low-pile carpet. It also does a good job of removing pet hair however it isn't resistant to tangling like the high-end Roomba models, such as the j7 or I6.

The Roomba is simple to use. It has a trio of buttons on its cover: 'Clean' launches an entire cleaning cycle, 'Dock' puts it back into its charging station, and 'Spot Clean' activates a targeted clean. You can control it via an app on your smartphone that lets you schedule cycles, stop/start them, and alter settings. You can also pair the device with smart home devices such as Alexa or Google Assistant to control it via voice commands.

This vacuum cleaner is slower than some others, but it is able to reach most corners and crevices. It comes with a large bin that makes it easy to empty. It is compatible with digital mapping and virtual barriers which lets you program the robot to stay out of certain areas or to stop cleaning altogether to avoid it from getting stuck.

While it's not the best model in its price range however, it's superior br151 robot vacuum to many other options. The Roborock E4 has a better cleaning performance than the Roomba 694, and it can clean both carpets with low pile as well as bare. However, if you want to change floor levels on the map or create no-go zones, you'll need to manually reset it in order to do this, which can be somewhat of trouble.

The IQ app offers some advanced mapping and automated features, however it does not have no-go zones. They are only available on iRobot robots. The smart-pathing system of the app allows for greater maneuverability, and the high-pile mode of its carpet cleaning mode is effective, although it can get caught on the tassels of the rug.

During our tests, we observed that the IQ handled pet hair with ease. It was able to get rid of lots of debris on bare floors and a decent amount of rug with a medium pile. It was a little less effective on shag carpet, where it struggled to reach dirt and dust embedded in the fibers. It was capable of navigating chair legs, tight spaces, and the wooden base of an IKEA step stool. We did notice that it was a bit slower on floors that were not paved however it soon recovered speed and performed more thoroughly than other robots we tested.

The IQ is a better choice than the iRobot Roomba 694 for most applications. It has a larger dustbin, a longer battery life and is more adept at navigating obstacles. It also comes with mopping attachments that are able to deal with sticky mess. The iRobot is, however, feels better built and has fewer parts that need maintenance or replacement and incurs fewer ongoing costs, and can even create virtual no-go zones with its companion application. It is able to even resume the cleaning process from where it left off if it runs out of battery before having completed the task. The iRobot is also controlled by voice commands, which is a big plus for many users.

Eufy 11S

The RoboVac 11S by eufy isn't exactly the most feature-rich robot vacuum around, but it does offer great cleaning power for a low price. It's a budget-friendly option for buyers who don't require a complex mapping system or an app to control the device. This robot will last for over an hour. It comes with the remote control, cleaning tool and AC power adapter.

The 11S is slim and sleek, with a tempered glass upper deck that is covered with plastic, which is finished to appear like brushed aluminum. It's a refreshing departure from the utilitarian and industrial designs of Roomba, Samsung and Neato.

In our tests, the eufy 11S was excellent at picking up large particles and fine dust on hard flooring. It struggled to deep clean carpets with high and medium piles. The device is also prone to bump into furniture and people that are in its path however, it is able to detect obstacles with sensors. It stops and emits a loud noise when it encounters an obstacle. It is then possible to manually steer the device around it and get it to work again.

The BoostIQ mode is another great feature of the Eufy11S. It lets you set up the robot to automatically adjust suction strength based upon the floor type and the amount of mess. It's also easy to use the remote to direct the 11S to where you want it to go.

Single Room Mode is a great alternative if you have a small amount of furniture in the room you want to vacuum. The eufy will spend 30 minutes intensely cleaning the area that it's assigned to.
