The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a good option for those looking for a mid-range mop and robot vacuum. It offers a great mopping experience but lacks the features that make up its more expensive sibling.

In tests it was able to eliminate pet hair and dry oats from medium-pile carpets. It doesn't employ LIDAR, however, as cheaper models do to identify your home.

1. Roomba S9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top robot vacuums. It has impressive cleaning power and a variety of features that include the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. The robot will learn your habits of cleaning, and suggest automated schedules to give you the ultimate hands-free cleaning experience.

Setup is easy, thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once everything is connected, you can start the automated cleaning functions with the push of a button. You can select an overall clean that emphasizes getting rid of larger pieces of debris such as cereal and rice or go for two detailed maps of your space to ensure that your entire home has a clean and tidy appearance.

This robot vac performs well on both floors that are bare and low-pile carpet. It is able to pick up pet hair and sucks large objects up. It doesn't lose its suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It's not the best time with high-pile or plush carpet, but iRobot claims it will get better in the future with new models.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that concentrates on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted, D-shaped design, which it hopes will allow it to be able to swaddle furniture and walls. It's a step up from the hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are widely used, but we found it to be just marginally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims that the S9+ comes with an improved filtering system that blocks tiny dust particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. It's a nice claim, however, we're not convinced it's enough to justify the premium price cost.

Its intelligent navigation system makes use of sensors to remember the structure of your home, and vSLAM to map your interior. This allows it to stay clear of obstacles, such as stairs and other barriers, and to clean up your whole home efficiently possible. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and also set virtual boundaries to ensure that the robot is aware of what areas require extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it is about robots that can combine mopping and vacuuming and mopping, the Roborock Q revo is a standout. Its vacuum settings are as good as those found on more expensive models. The mopping system is better because its spinning pads scrub floors more effectively than the vibrating pads.

The only drawback is that it lacks an additional rubber brush to allow to provide more thorough cleaning, but that's a small price to pay if you want to get one of the best robots available. The robo-vac's dust tank is larger than many of its competitors, and it takes just two or three cycles to fill it up, even with the highest dirt level.

In terms of the mopping system, I was amazed by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. The two mopping modes that it has that are less abrasive than the higher-powered ones produce minimal noise, allowing you to work or even watch television without interruption. If it comes across the wall or a piece of furniture it gently smacks into it before moving along.

What really distinguishes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly completely on its own, with no need for user intervention. The robo-vac comes with a multi-function dock that automatically transfers physical garbage into the bin hidden from view and also washes and dry the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app will only notify you when something is not right like a low clean water tank or a cancelled vacuuming session due to an empty bin.

You can also create and merge rooms to modify the way that Q Revo will treat your home. This feature is useful for those who have different flooring in different areas of your home, or when you have to frequently clear out clutter such as toys, clothes and books. The robo-vac was also one of the best performers in my test, picking up debris on carpets as well as hardwood floors in the first attempt. It can even clean up spills that are wet but I would suggest drying them with a cloth before sending the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a premium robot vacuum and mop combo and more. It has an omni-rotating mop as well as a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It's similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with a self-cleaning base station that automatically empty and cleans the mop pads, keeping them clean and ready for use again. It also features a new sensor system that better detects obstacles, giving it the ability to avoid falling over furniture and other objects.

The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS X1 Deebot is its modern, sleeker design. This is thanks to the Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for Bob robot vacuum their Bang & Olufsen product line. The robot is still quite large. It is more than two feet in the height and depth and weighs almost four pounds. However the bob robot vacuum and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo and iRobot J7.

This version is also more efficient than the X1 one, because it has a faster charging speed for Bob robot Vacuum batteries and can handle a full cleaning of about 1,500 square feet on one charge. It also has a bigger and more robust dust bin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

Additionally, the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app and a voice assistant that works offline, so you can control it even when you're not at home. It also has a smart routing feature that lets it clean specific areas or rooms of your home instead of following a set path.

The X2 Omni is the top robot for mopping. Its mop pads rotating clean tough stains and its motor generates lots of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is also excellent, and it increases suction when it detects a carpet to ensure a thorough cleaning. It also has a huge battery that can last for weeks between charges, and its mopping mode is as efficient as anything we've seen in a consumer-grade robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a top-quality model that offers a number of features that aren't typically found on robots of this price. It can create precise floor maps and recognize different flooring types. It's also among the few robots that can automatically clean and dry its mop pad. But while these functions are useful but they also push the L10s Ultra into the luxury category and could mean it's slightly more expensive than some homeowners require.

It is designed to look like a contemporary floor cleaner designed to look like a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device that has an elegant white finish accented by mirror-plated silver elements. The front of the machine is dominated by a huge bumper, which helps protect the vacuum and furniture from damage when moving through the home. Sensors are concealed behind the front pane which helps the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum there is a single button which acts as an on/off switch. Clicking this will turn on the vacuum, and pressing it again will turn off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The circular menu in the middle of the control panel allows users to select cleaning options, schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons below the screen will open up the settings menu in which you can modify the way that the L10s Ultra integrates with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map out your home. This allows the robot to clean and mop efficiently, without getting stuck. The LIDAR helps the robot vacuum avoid obstacles and recognize them, which is an excellent feature for households with pets or young children.

The L10s Ultra is an extremely powerful vacuum cleaner, removing 98.4 percent of debris from our test on hard floors and taking out all but stubborn juice staining. Its mops also do a great job, removing 98.4 percent of debris from our carpet, tile and wood tests. However, it wasn't as efficient in dealing with sand on the floor, or Quaker oats on carpet.
