1. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni robot vacuum-mop is the most recent in the Ecovacs line of hybrid robot vacuum mops. This model that is wet-dry is fitted with Ecovacs' new AIVI 3D 2.0 lidar system that provides improved mapping and obstacles avoidance. It uses dual laser LiDAR, similar to that found in self-driving vehicles. It can scan a space up to 32 feet across by the 270-degree angle. This means more precise mapping, faster response time, and higher cleaning accuracy.

It also has a rotating mopping mat made of chenille, making it easier to scrub hard-to-clean spots than conventional mops. In my tests the X2 Omni washed its pad in less than a second and was ready to go. I noticed that it was more accurate than other models, which seemed to follow the grid of rooms. It was able to navigate the corners and edges of my rooms as well as make "Zambani patterns" across the middle of the room. It also returned to its OMNI station on a regular basis to empty the dust bin and wash the mop with hot water before starting another cleaning job.

The X2 Omni is as easy to use and set up as the other Ecovacs products. Simply snap the dock into place connect it to the power outlet and pair it with your home WiFi network. It scored high in the areas of pet hair removal and debris removal, and also achieved near-perfect results in edge and crevices cleaning.

2. Deebot T10 Omni

If you're looking for a strong combination of vacuuming and mopping look into the EcoVACS Deebot Omni. It is the most advanced of the T-line offered by the brand and features the OZMO Turbo2.0 mopping system that makes use of a dual-spinning brush to provide better cleaning than traditional scrubbing. It comes with YIKO, a natural language processing technology that is a first of its kind. This allows it to respond to a variety of voice commands. The ECOVACS App lets you plan your home, make cleaning schedules and adjust settings.

However, the Deebot Omni is an excellent robot vacuum that has impressive results in our tests for pet hair. It was able to remove more than 96% debris from our hardwood flooring. This is a remarkable performance. It was a success on tiles and carpets, removing 99percent of dirt.

This robot vacuum and mop has an enormous docking station that provides cool water cleaning for the mop pads, automatic vacuum for pet hair emptying into a 3L disposable bag that is easy to replace, and hot-air drying for quick and simple maintenance. It also has a huge water tank that allows more frequent rinses and dry between mopping runs.

Like other mopping machines, the Deebot T10 Omni has a wash tray in its base that rinses and dries its mop pads when it uses them. However, it doesn't come with an open tray, meaning that dirty water, dust and other grime builds up in the bottom of the tray over time.

3. RoboVac X8 hybrid

This is the first mopping model made by Anker that is renowned for its robot vacuums. It offers enhanced smarts, multiple map support and LIDAR scanning, in addition to twin-turbine suction technology that adapts to the surface you're cleaning. It's a tempting mid-range robot vacuum cleaner although it can't quite deliver on its promise to be a one-stop shop for floor cleaning.

The X8 Hybrid looks like a standard robotic vacuum cleaner from the top, with its circular shape with sweeping wheels, as well as an elevated space for sensors. Flip it over, however you'll see an electric floor brush as well as a single side sweeper that carries dirt from the edges into the main pathway of the robot's 'mouth'. This robot was very successful during our tests on hardwood floors and food particles. It was able to pick up everything from a single rice grain to multiple dog food pieces with just one pass. It had a bit of difficulties transitioning to rugs but in general this vacuum cleaner is ideal for large spaces with both types of flooring and a mix of pets.

It is a bit pricey but if you're able to afford it, it's an excellent buy for those who wish to leave their home free to do other tasks or take care of chores. The A4s Pro has a convenient auto-cleaning mode that increases suction to take on tough dirt or spills. It also includes a battery-powered ElectroWall to establish boundaries for the robot.

This budget-friendly model from a well-known brand is the cheapest we've ever tested, and provides an outstanding value for money. Its navigation system is basic and uses an extremely basic random pathing algorithm, but it doesn't have room mapping capabilities, which makes it less time efficient than the other models on this list. It's still able to get under furniture and into corners. Mopping mode performed very well in our tests and picked up hairs that were straying and other debris.

5. Shark iQ

Shark's iQ may not appear as well-built however it is superior in removing pet hair from all surfaces. It gets rid of floors with less efficiently and does a decent job on carpets with a low pile and also uses smart-pathing navigational technology for greater maneuverability. It also allows you to assign it to a specific area, vacuum and mop and its advanced set of automation features include no-go zones and scheduling. It lets you pause and resume cleaning which is ideal for homes with pets.

Its self-cleaning brushroll prevents knots from pet hair and other debris and its bagless self-emptying dock station can hold up to 30 days of dirt before it needs to be cleaned. It also comes with an assortment of angled side brushes that dig deep into corners, and its multi-stage filtration system captures dust, dander and allergens for cleaner air.

This robot vacuum is well-built and feels solid. It works with an app for smartphones that lets you change the vacuum's settings and schedule cleaning sessions ahead of time. The app allows you to check the remaining battery life of the iQ and also receive push notifications if it encounters any problems during a cleaning session. You can control it using your voice via an Amazon Alexa device or Google Assistant device. If you don't own either of these devices, you can mark areas with physical boundary lines.

The iQ can do a decent job of clearing bare floors and doing a fair job with shaggy and low-pile carpet however it lacks the same level of autonomy as our top choices. It's also expensive, and its recurring costs can become expensive over time.
