The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great choice if you're looking for a robot mop and vacuum that's priced in the middle. It offers a great mopping experience, but it lacks the features that make up its more expensive counterpart.

During testing it was able to eliminate pet hair and dry oats from carpets with a medium pile. However, unlike other models, it doesn't utilize LIDAR to determine the layout of your home.

1. iRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the best-rated robots. It is a powerful cleaner and numerous features such as the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. It can also learn your cleaning habits and suggest automatic schedules to ensure you have a hands-free experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the setup process. Once everything is connected, you can start the automated cleaning process at the click of the button. You can select an overall clean which focuses on the elimination of larger debris such as rice and cereal. Or you can choose two mappings to ensure that the entire home is cleaned thoroughly.

This robot vacuum performs well on both floors with no carpet and carpets with low pile. It is able to pick up pet hair and clean big objects up. It doesn't lose its suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It's not the Best Robot Vacuum Mop time with plush or high-pile carpet, however iRobot claims it will improve in the future with new models.

The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that focuses on enhancing the edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted, D-shaped design, which it hopes will allow it to fit into furniture and walls. It's a step up from the hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are standard however we found it to be just marginally superior to circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also features an advanced filtration system that blocks microscopic particles and allergens recirculating within your home. We like the claim however, it's not enough to justify a higher price.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors that remember the layout of your home and vSLAM technology to map your interior. It then cleans your entire home with ease by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and set cleaning times, as well as create virtual boundary markers, so that it knows to avoid areas that require extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it is about robots that combine mopping and vacuuming the Roborock Q Revo is a standout. Its vacuum settings are as good as those found on more expensive models. Its mopping system is better as its spinning pads clean your floors more effectively than a vibrating pad.

The only drawback is the lack of a second brush to allow for deeper cleaning. However, that's not a major issue when you're looking to purchase one of the top robots on the market. The dust tank of the robo-vac is larger than its competitors and filling it up only takes two or three cycles, even when you've got a lot of dirt.

In terms of the mopping system, I was impressed by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. The two mopping modes that it has that are less abrasive than the high-powered ones, create very little noise, which allows you to work or even watch TV without distraction. If it encounters the wall or a piece of furniture it gently smacks into it and then moves on.

The Q Revo is unique in that it can run almost autonomously, with little user involvement. The robo-vac comes with a multi-function dock that automatically moves physical trash into the bin hidden in the background and cleans and drys the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app will only notify you if something is wrong, such as a low clean water tank or a cancelled vacuuming session due to a full bin.

You can also combine or create actual rooms in order to personalize the way Q Revo handles your home. This is an excellent feature to have if you have several areas of the home with different flooring materials or if there's items that need to be removed frequently, such as toys, clothes and books. The robo-vac is also efficient and was among the top performers during my tests, taking debris from both carpets and hardwoods on the first pass. It can also clean up spills that are wet however I would recommend wiping them dry with a damp cloth prior to sending the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum that has all the features you can need. It comes with the ability to rotate mops and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It's similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also has a self-cleaning base station that automatically empties and washes mop pads, keeping them free of germs and ready to use again. It also has a sensor that can detect obstacles better and prevents it from falling on furniture and other objects.

The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS The X1 Deebot is the modern, sleeker design. This is due to the Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. The robot is still big. It has a height of more than two feet both height and depth, Best Robot Vacuum Mop and weighs in at least four pounds. However the robot as well as its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This version is more efficient than the X1 since it charges faster and cleans 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also has a bigger dustbin that is more durable and can hold more debris and is easier to empty when needed.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant as well as an app that works even if you are not at home. It also has more mopping modes and a smart routing feature that allows you to clean specific rooms or areas of your house instead of just following a specific path.

The X2 Omni is the most effective robot at mopping. Its rotating mop pads scrub away tough stains, and its motor produces lots of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is also outstanding, and it also increases suction when it senses a carpet to ensure a thorough cleaning. It also has a massive battery that can last for weeks between charges, and its mopping mode is as effective as any we've seen in an ordinary robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a top-quality mop and robot vacuum that vacuums and mops vacuum that comes with a variety of convenience features you do not often find on robots at this price range. It can build detailed floor maps, identify different types of flooring, and it's one of the few that can automatically wash and dry the mop pads. These features are great, but they also make the L10s more of a class of luxury. This could mean it's more expensive than homeowners need.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It's slim and tall with a white finish accented with silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine features an impressive bumper that protects the furniture and vacuum cleaner as you move around your home. In the pane in the front is a second navigation technology in the form of sensors that aid the L10s Ultra maneuver tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top, you'll find a single button that essentially serves as the on/off switch. This button will turn on the vacuum. By pressing it again, you can shut it off and send it back to its base station. The circular menu in the center of the control panel lets you to choose cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons open the app's settings where you can alter the way the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation techniques to help you map out your home. It was not as effective in removing sand from our hard floor or quaker oatmeal from the carpet.
