Super Tight is an exhibition that focuses on strategies for living closely and explores the joy and challenges that arise from dense occupation of large cities. It grew from a common fascination with very dense urbanisms particularly those of Asian cities. It also grew out of the anxiety about the density that has characterized the affluent cities of western countries (especially Australia).

This exhibition is a fusion of a variety of artists who are working to make cultural spaces out of the incredibly tight restrictions of the modern urban environment. Studio Wasabi (Rafael Balboa & Yasemin Shiner, Architects from Tokyo); Atelier Bow-Wow, (Timothy MacDonald and Jodie Gibson Architects from Sydney); Taishin Shiozaki Laboratory, (Tohru Horiguchi & Yoko Onishi Architects from Osaka); and Tomito Architecture, (Tomito ito & Miho Tominaga Architects Super Tight was curated by Graham Crist & John Doyle and was created in collaboration with RMIT Design Hub Gallery & Open House Melbourne.

Super Skin
