The new Bose Sport Earbuds Truly Wireless are slimmer and more sleek than the QuietComfort buds, and have a better microphone for calls. They also resist sweat, and come with a bag for charging.

Active Noise Cancellation

The Bose QuietComfort line is known for its excellent noise cancellation, but the company produces a variety of premium headphones and earbuds that don't require or offer it. The products typically come at the premium end of the market and are made of premium materials however, they're also light and sweat-proof, making them comfortable to last for long listening sessions.

The flagship 700s is a fantastic example. They have an upgraded eight-microphone (six to cancel out sounds, and two to pick a voice) and eleven custom ANC modes. You can hear the world around you or block the world completely. They also come with the "Conversation Mode", which allows you to temporarily pause the music in order to announce a message or make a call.

Bose TruSleeve is another excellent feature. It's a removable cover that wraps around your neck and sits over your upper ear to block out noise when you are out and out and about. It's available for all QuietComfort models and can be customized through the app to suit your ears and lifestyle.

The headphones gaming can be connected to your mobile device using Bluetooth 4.2, and Bose’s proprietary A2DP protocol. They also support aptX Adaptive, aptX HD and are ideal for audiophiles who have sources that support the highest-quality wireless codes. Bose comes with a 2.5mm to 3.5mm cable for wired listening. Sound Quality

The Bose voice, which tells you about battery status and if you're connected, is somewhat robotic, in comparison to the more natural voices found on the Sony and Jabra models.

Comfort

Bose headphones are comfortable, whether they're on or over-ear. The headphones of the company are usually well-padded and not too tight on your head. They also come with a balanced sound profile, making them suitable for a diverse variety of genres. If you want to tweak the sound, you'll discover that many of the Bose headphones come with a companion application that has an EQ graph that helps you tune your music to your preferences.

In our tests, the Bose Qc45s have a remarkable noise cancellation, and outstanding audio quality. The sound is clear and detailed with clear mids and crisp highs. The headphones also have a very neutral midrange response, so voices reproduce well. The only downside is that they don't support the most current Bluetooth codecs, such as aptX Adaptive or LDAC which would enable playback without loss.

The Bose Sport Earbuds are smaller and sleeker than the company's flagship QuietComfort Earbuds, making them ideal for running and working out. The buds come with a battery life of up to 5 hours, which is enough for most exercises. The buds come with a built in microphone, and are water-resistant. You can control them with the included remote or with the companion app. The app lets you modify the settings for Bose Aware Mode and ANC.

Controls

The 700s do not feature physical controls for the ear cups unlike the majority of Bose's headphones. Instead you'll find a touch panel on the front portion of the right earcup that detects swipes and taps. Tap twice to play or stop and swipe up to increase the volume, and down to lower it, and then forward to skip tracks. A single tap answers calls, and a double-tap rejects incoming call.

The headset allows you to switch on the "aware" mode which allows for some permeability of your surroundings. This feature is beneficial for those who have to be aware of the surroundings while listening music or making calls.

A motion detector shuts off your headphones when you are not using them. It's a welcome addition for those who don't remember to switch off their headphones or are easily distracted while using them. You can alter the Auto-Off setting on your Bose 700 headphones through the Bose Connect app.

The app is used to alter the features of the headphones including the settings for audio, noise cancelling levels and voice prompt languages. It's also where you'll receive updates for your Bose headphones. The app could require you to share personal information however this is normal. You can also configure your Bluetooth preferences and use the battery reading feature to determine how much power is left in your headphones with noise cancellation. Design

Bose has a reputation for comfortable headphones, and most of their models do a good job at keeping the listener's ears insulated against ambient sound.
