The latest Bose Sport Earbuds Truly Wireless are slimmer and more sleek than the QuietComfort buds, with a better microphone for calls. They are also sweat-resistant and come with a charging case.

Active Noise Cancellation

The Bose QuietComfort line is known for its superior noise cancellation, but the company produces a variety of premium headphones and earbuds which don't require or offer it. The products typically have the premium end of the market and use premium materials, but they're also lightweight, sweat-resistant and comfortable enough for long listening sessions.

The flagship 700s is a fantastic example. They have an upgraded eight-microphone system (six for cancelling sound, and two for picking up voices) and 11 custom ANC modes that allow you to hear the world or block it completely. They're also equipped with a "Conversation Mode" button that lets you temporarily pause your music to place an emergency call or make a quick announcement.

Bose TruSleeve is another excellent feature. It's a cover that can be removed that wraps around your neck and sits over your upper ear to cut down on noise when you're out and about. It's available for all QuietComfort models and can be adapted via the app to fit your ears and lifestyle.

Comparing to our top pick, the Sony WH-1000XM5, the 700s offer a better audio quality for phone calls. This makes them an excellent option for those who frequently make calls and need to be heard clearly while on the go.

Comfort

In our tests, the Bose Qc45s delivered impressive noise cancellation and outstanding audio quality. The sound is rich and detailed, with a punchy bass, clear mids, and crisp highs. The headphones also have a neutral midrange response, ensuring that voices reproduce well. The only downside to these headphones is that they don't support the most recent Bluetooth codes, like aptX Adaptive and LDAC, allowing playback that is lossless.

The Bose Sport Earbuds are smaller and sleeker than the company's flagship QuietComfort Earbuds, making them ideal for running and working out. They offer an up to five-hour battery duration, which is plenty for most workout sessions. They are waterproof and feature built-in microphones for voice assistant integration. You can control the buds using the remote included or the companion app. The app can be used to adjust settings for ANC and Bose's Aware Mode.

Controls

The 700s don't have physical controls for the ear cups, unlike the majority of Bose's headphones. Instead you'll find a touch panel on the front half of the right earcup that detects swipes and taps. Tap twice to play/pause, swipe up and down to alter the volume and forward to skip tracks. A single tap answers calls, while the double tap will reject an incoming call.

The headset lets you toggle the "aware" mode which allows for some permeability of your environment. This feature is helpful for those who must be aware of their surroundings when listening to music or making calls.

A motion detector turns off your headphones after inactivity. It's a nice feature for those who forget to turn their headphones off or get distracted while using the headphones apple. You can change the Auto-Off timer settings on your Bose 700 headphones using the Bose Connect app.
