The Q Revo is a great option for those looking for a mid-range robot vacuum and mop. It's a great mopping capabilities, but is lacking some of the features found in its more expensive counterpart.

During testing it was able to take on dry oats and dust on medium-pile carpet and pet hair on hard flooring. But, unlike cheaper models, it doesn't utilize LIDAR to map out your home.

1. IRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top robot vacuums. It offers impressive cleaning power and a variety of features that include a self-emptying dirt compartment built into its charging base. This robot can also learn your habits of cleaning and suggest automatic schedules to ensure you have a hands-free experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once the system is in place you can begin the automated cleaning with a single button. You can select a general clean which focuses on the elimination of larger particles like cereal and rice. You can also opt for two thorough mappings to ensure that your entire home is completely cleaned.

This robot vacuum is effective on floors that are unfinished and carpets with low pile. It is able to pick up pet hair and also suck big objects up. It doesn't lose its suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It has a difficult time with carpets that are high-pile or plush, but iRobot says that future models will be better.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that focuses on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that adopts an open-fronted, flat-fronted design. The company hopes that this will allow it to be able to hug furniture and walls. It's a step up from the hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are standard however we found it to be just marginally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also comes with a superior filtration system which blocks tiny particles and allergens from circulating in your home. It's a nice premise, but we're not convinced it's enough to justify the premium price price.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors that remember the layout of your home and vSLAM technology to map the interior. This allows it to avoid obstacles like staircases and other barriers, and to tidy up your entire home in the most efficient way possible. The iRobot Home app lets you manage the robot and plan cleaning times, as well as create virtual boundaries, so it can recognize areas that need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

What sets the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly completely autonomously, requiring only a little for user intervention. The robo-vac has a multifunction dock that automatically moves physical trash to the hidden bin, as well as washes and dry the mop pads and near refills its clean water tank. This model is also more efficient than the X1, as it has faster battery charging and can handle a full cleaning of about 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also comes with a larger and more robust dustbin that can store more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

Finally, the X2 Omni has a more user-friendly app and an assistant voice that works offline, so you can use it even if you're away from home. It also has more mopping options and a smart routing feature which allows it to clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead just following a specific route.

The Omni Omni is the most effective mopping performance of any robot we've tested, due to its mop pads rotating to clean tough stains away and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. The vacuuming capabilities are also outstanding, and it also increases suction when it detects carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It is equipped with a large rechargeable battery that can last up to seven days. The mopping mode of the robot is also very effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a high-end model that comes with a variety of features that aren't typically found on robots in this price range. It can create precise floor maps and recognize various flooring types. It's also one of the few robots that can automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These are nice features, but they also place the L10s in the premium category. This could make it more expensive than what homeowners want.

Designed to look like a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device that has an elegant white finish enhanced by mirror plating and silver elements. The front of the machine is dominated by an enormous bumper, which protects the vacuum and furniture from damage while moving around the home.
