The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great option if you're looking for a robot mop and vacuum that's middle-of-the-road. It offers a great mopping experience, but it lacks the features that make up its more expensive sibling.

In tests, it was able to handle dry oats and dust on medium-pile carpet and pet hair on hard flooring. It does not use LIDAR however, as other models do to locate your home.

iRobot Roomba s9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the most highly-rated robots. It is a powerful cleaner and numerous features, including a self-emptying dirt compartment built into its charging base. This robot can learn your habits for cleaning and suggest automated schedules to give you the ultimate hands-free cleaning experience.

Setup is easy, thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automatic cleaning functions at the touch of the button. You can choose an overall clean that emphasizes getting rid of larger pieces of debris such as rice and cereal, or opt for two thorough mappings of your space to ensure that your entire home has a clean and tidy appearance.

This robot vacuum is effective on both bare floors and carpets with low pile. It can pick up pet hair and also suck large objects up. It doesn't lose its suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It's not able to work with high-pile carpets or plush carpets however iRobot says that future models will be more efficient.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that concentrates on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt an open-fronted, flat-fronted design, which will allow it to hug furniture and walls. It's a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are common, but we found it only marginally superior to circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also has superior filtration which blocks tiny particles and allergens from circulating within your home. It's a nice claim but we're not convinced it's enough to justify the premium price cost.

Its intelligent navigation system makes use of sensors to remember the structure of your home, and vSLAM to map your interior best robot vacuum for Thick carpet and pet Hair of your home. It can then clean your entire home efficiently by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and create virtual boundaries so that the robot can determine the areas that require attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a machine that combines vacuuming and mopping. Its vacuum settings are as good robot vacuum as those found on higher-end models. The mopping system is even better - its spinning pads clean your floors better than a vibrating pad.

The only downside is that it lacks an additional rubber brush for more thorough cleaning, but it's a small cost to pay if want to get one of the best robots available. The dust tank of the robo-vac is bigger than most of its competitors and filling it up takes only two or three times, even when you have maximum dirt.

For the mopping system, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. Its two lowest mopping settings that are less powerful than the high-powered modes, produce very little noise, so you can work or even watch television without getting distracted. It will gently hit furniture or walls, and move on if it comes across one.

What sets the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to function almost completely on its own, with no need for user intervention. The dock of the robo-vac can be multi-functional and will automatically move trash into a hidden bin. It also cleans, dries and refills the clean water tank. The app is good at notifying you when something requires attention, for example, the water tank that is running out of clean or a scheduled vacuuming session having been canceled due to a stuffed dust bin.

You can also combine or create actual rooms to alter the way Q Revo manages your home. This is a great feature for those who have multiple areas of the home with different flooring materials or there's some clutter that must be cleaned out frequently, like clothes, toys and books. The robo-vac was also one of the best performers in my tests, picking up debris on carpets and hardwood floors with the first pass. It can even remove wet spills, though I recommend drying them with a damp cloth prior to sending the robot in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum combo that has all the features you could need. It has a rotating mop and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It's similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with a self-cleaning station that automatically washes and cleans mop pads to keep them clean and ready for reuse. It also comes with a brand new sensor system that better detects obstacles, granting it the ability to prevent falling over furniture and other objects.

The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this model is sleeker and best robot vacuum for thick carpet and pet hair more modern design, thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best robot vacuum for Thick carpet and pet Hair known for its Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still big. It is more than two feet in both height and depth, and weighs in at least four pounds. However the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.

This model is more efficient than the X1 since it charges faster and can clean 1,500 square feet in a single charge. It also comes with a larger and more robust dustbin that can store more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

Lastly lastly, the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app and an assistant voice that works offline, which means you can control it even when you're away from home. It also comes with an intelligent routing feature that allows it to clean specific rooms or areas of your home, instead of following a predetermined path.

The Omni Omni has the best mopping performance of any robot we've tested, due to its mop pads that rotate to remove tough stains and a motor that produces plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming capabilities are excellent too and it increases suction when it senses carpet to ensure it does an excellent job. It also has a huge battery that can last for weeks between charges, and its mopping mode is as powerful as any we've seen in the market for a consumer robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a top-quality model that offers a number of features that aren't typically found on robots in this price range. It can create precise floor maps and recognize various flooring types. It's also among the few robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. But while these functions are nice to have, they also push the L10s Ultra into the luxury category and could mean it's a little more expensive than what some homeowners need.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It's tall and slim with a white finish accented with silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is adorned with a large bumper that protects the furniture and vacuum cleaner while moving around your home. Sensors are hidden behind the front pane which helps the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum, there is a single button that is used as an on/off switch. This button will turn on the vacuum. By pressing it again, you can turn it off and send it to its base station. The center of the control panel includes the circular menu which lets you choose cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons open the settings of the app which allow you to customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map out your home. This produces a precise floor plan that allows the robot vacuum and mop efficiently without getting stuck in cluttered areas. The LIDAR also assists the robot vacuum to recognize and avoid obstacles which is a great feature for households with children or pets.

The L10s Ultra has a solid vacuuming capability that clears 98.4 percent of debris from our hardwood floor test and taking out all but the most difficult juice stain. Its mops also do a great job and remove 98.4 percent of debris from our carpet, tile, and wood tests. It was not as efficient at removing sand from the hard flooring or quaker oats off the carpet.
