The RoboVac 11S from Eufy is a different alternative for regular vacuuming. It's design is very similar to our top pick and it excels for picking up fine dirt and larger debris on hard flooring. It also does a great job on low-pile and medium-pile carpet. It has a large dirt container and utilizes BoostIQ for automatic suction power adjustment. It comes with a user-friendly remote control, and you can schedule daily cleanings using the app. The battery lasts about an hour, and the dustbin is easy to empty by taking it from its dock.

2. Roborock S7 maxV Ultra

The Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra is an excellent robot vacuum and mop with a surprisingly wide array of automation features. The Roborock S7 MaxV comes in three versions of the basic S7 model, the S7 Plus model and the S7 Ultra. Only the latter has an Empty Wash Fill Dock (or an alternative Auto-Empty Dock). These docks allow the robot vacuum with self empty base to return to its home base and empty the debris in a dust bag or reservoir, drain the dirty water tank, and wash its mopping pads.

The S7's sensors work together to avoid obstacles and clean floors. It can identify flooring types and save the map of rooms and zones and even detect dirt levels. It's also capable of scheduling and executing spot-cleaning sessions. It did well in our tests, but it wasn't able to exactly match the Roomba j7+ in our carpet deep clean test.

With the companion app you can program the S7 to run a cleaning cycle based on your schedule. You can specify a time day, week, or even a day as well as choose from a variety of cleaning options, like automatic, eco, and deep clean. You can also select whether the robot will stop when its power runs out or in the event of an obstacle.

You can still use the S7 even if you don't have an Android phone by connecting the charging dock to the remote control. The controls on the remote are a little confusing however once you get the hang of them, they function well. If you need to empty it, you can simply remove the side container and place it over the trash can, and then press the button.

The Shark IQ XL is a good vacuum cleaner. It does a good job cleaning floors that are not bare and it can maneuver itself well. However the Shark IQ XL feels a little less solidly built than the Roomba 694. It is able to remove a lot of debris on carpeted floors and does a decent job at maneuvering itself, but it doesn't come close to matching the iRobot Roomba i7 in regards to performance on carpeted floors. The i7 is also more robust, Robot Vacuums Self Emptying feels more durable and sturdy, has less maintenance requirements, has lower costs for recurring expenses, charges faster, while offering similar battery performance, and comes with the most advanced automation features such as no-go zones as well as the ability to choose specific rooms for a clean.

But it is able to remove them with a bit more effort. It has good navigational abilities and two cliff sensors to prevent it from falling down the stairs or getting stuck on furniture legs.

The J7+ has some minor flaws. One of them is that it can be caught on cords or rugs and does not always turn off the mopping feature when it's finished vacuuming. This is a fantastic model that checks all the boxes.

The j7+ by iRobot comes with one of the top self-emptying systems that we've tested. It dumps its 14oz/0.4-liter dust container into the base station, and it automatically emptys itself. This helps to reduce the amount of garbage you'll need to dispose of and you'll only have to replace the dust bag that is on the dock about every 60 days or so, based on how often you use the j7+.
