The WH-1000XM5 comes with a similar headband and ear cups to the XM4 however it is more lightweight and comfortable. These headphones are comfortable to wear and are suitable for extended periods. They are also ideal for long flights and commutes. They're noise cancelling headphones that can cut down background noise, but not compromise clarity or detail. Bowers & Wilkins flagship headphones, the PX7 S2 have been consistently on the top lists of wireless headsets since the introduction of the first generation PX7, in 2015. They are in the same category as Sony WH1000XM5 or Bose's QuietComfort. The latest model, the PX7 S2, is an upgrade that takes the original headphones to a new level, with improved ANC performance and studio a new design.

In the earcups, bio cellulose 40mm drivers are designed to be angled so that they point straight towards your eardrums, delivering an audio experience that's more intimate than other closed-back headphones can manage. The PX7 S2 is a perfect example of the bold claim. The vocals are clear, and the bass is deep when needed.

They're also incredibly robust, with a premium feel and durable construction that will last for a long time of regular usage.

They're not perfect, but they are. The clamp force on our test models was a bit less than we'd like and there aren't as numerous additional features on the app as other options, but these are minor complaints. The Bathys Bluetooth headphones deliver a crisp, lively sound signature. They easily surpass consumer ANC models of the same price such as the Sony XM5/5 and Bose QC45. They can be pushed even further by using direct DAC audio mode which makes them an excellent choice for serious hi-fi enthusiasts.

The Focal and Naim app allows users to adjust the headphone's playback controls and Bluetooth pairing preferences. The app lets users choose between soft and silent intensities for ANC. Users can also adjust the brightness of LEDs on the earcups of the headphones, and tweak EQ settings. The app is basic but it has enough features to warrant its purchase.

The only issue is that the active noise cancellation doesn't live up to the competition. The headphone doesn't block out all ambient noise as the most rated XM5 or AirPods Max, and its treble accuracy is subpar, with a muffled mid to high frequency that impedes vocals and instruments.

The Focal Bathys headphones aren't the most portable. The ear cups aren't foldable down and weigh slightly more than other models, meaning that they're not suitable for traveling. The Bathys are best utilized at home for long listening sessions or as an audio reference headset for sound engineering. The Bathys are comfortable to wear over long periods of time despite their size and weight.

The Sony WH-CH720N are excellent wireless over-ear headphones for the money. The noise-cancelling technology is excellent and helps to reduce ambient noise. They're light and comfortable, however they feel a bit too compressed for me. They have a USB-C charging port, 3.5mm jack and a decent-length cable inside the box. In my tests the CH720N's hybrid technology for noise cancellation did a great job of reducing ambient noise. There were only a few blips when walking through Waterloo Station and London Victoria. Streaming music over the CH720N's Bluetooth connection was smooth and displayed a low level of harmonic distortion. The WH-CH720N is a good value for PS130. It lacks some of Sony's top features (such as Speak-to-Chat and Quick Attention) however it comes with many great features. It comes with 360 Reality Audio and a variety of smart controls as well as the aforementioned DSEE upscaling feature. The only thing missing is LDAC bluetooth headphones wireless High-Res Audio Support which I believe would have been a welcome inclusion.
