The IQ's app comes with advanced mapping and automation features however, it's not able to access no-go zones, which are available on iRobot models. Its smart-pathing system permits for better maneuverability, and the high-pile mode of its carpet cleaning mode is very effective, although it can get caught on the tassels of the rug.

During our tests, the IQ was capable of handling pet hair with ease, removing huge amounts of hair from floors that were not bare and fair amounts on medium-pile carpet. It was less effective on shag carpets, as it was unable to reach dirt and dust that was embedded in the fibers. It was able to maneuver the legs of a chair, tiny spaces and even the base of an IKEA wooden step stool. It was a little slower on floors that were not paved but it quickly recovered and performed better than the other robots we tested.

The IQ is a better choice than the iRobot Roomba 694 for most applications. It has a bigger dust bin, lasts longer on a charge, and is more capable of moving itself around obstacles. It has mopping tools that can clean up sticky messes. On the other side the iRobot feels better-built, has fewer parts that require replacement or maintenance, incurs lower recurring costs and can even create virtual no-go zones through its companion app. It can continue cleaning from the point it started, even if the battery runs out before it's finished. The iRobot can also be controlled using voice, which is a major benefit for many users.

Eufy 11S

The RoboVac 11S by eufy isn't exactly the most feature-rich robot vacuum for hardwood floors vacuum on the market, but it does offer powerful cleaning capabilities at a low price.
