Rep kits are the perfect way to fix your gear until you reach the trailhead to have it fixed professionally. The trick is knowing what to do with it when you require it.

Tools

The right tools are available is essential when working in the field. This kit is designed with that in mind and includes all the hand tools necessary to repair things in the field. The tools are all made of steel and are minimal plastic so they can withstand use. Repair Patches

You might want to consider adding adhesive patches to your kit if you have some holes in your gear. These heavy-duty patches feature high-performance adhesives that are applied to a durable polyurethane backing that allows a tear to recover under pressure. These patches are available in colors or clear versions and offer durability against punctures as well as moisture, sunlight, saltwater and temperature extremes.

If your kit doesn't include any of the items listed above, you may want to consider adding a waterproof Aquaseal wader sealant. This water-tight adhesive can be bonded to fabrics and metals to create a permanent fix. This is ideal for repairs to drysuits, and is also employed in the field. Allow the sealant to set for at least 12 hours prior to using the repaired gear.
