The iRobot Roomba 980 is the latest model in the line of top-of-the-line robot mop Vacuum robot cleaners that are an essential part of any modern household. Additionally, it also comes with a powerful battery that can clean up to two hours and it automatically returns to its dock when its bin is full.

It also has an option called smart mapping, which makes use of multiple sensors to help identify the areas of your home that require attention and create a cleaning path around them. We've seen this technology in action and it does a great job of maneuvering around toys that are abandoned on the floor or furniture legs that stick out from under things. It also has a sensor that snaps Roomba to reality if it starts to move away from its initial location.

iRobot also added the option of rolling rollers under the Roomba that don't have bristles, and are therefore more likely to avoid the tangles that previous models. The Roomba 980 stands out from other models of high-end quality due to its latest dirt detection feature that makes use of cameras to detect embedded dirt. This is a great improvement over the previous version, that relied on the sensor-driven pseudorandom coverage method to bounce around the room and clean everything at least three times from different angles.

The Roomba 980 performed well in our tests on carpets and hard floors. It scored extremely well on low-pile carpet and also on mid-pile. It was successful in collecting pet hair, however it struggled with the long and thick pet hair that was stuck together.

Despite these minor shortcomings, the Roomba 980 remains one of our most efficient robots, and it's even close to being as expensive as the other top models on this list. It comes with many of the features we would expect from a top model but does not have all the fancy apps or smart home integrations you'll get from other top models.

The iRobot Roomba can be set up in a matter of minutes and is ready for use right away. After taking the yellow bin insert and the battery pull tab from the undercarriage, Mop Vacuum Robot you just plug it into the wall socket or one of its Home Base docking stations, hit the "Clean button" and let it do its work. It will automatically return to its dock when it runs out of battery or is full of trash. There are also indicator lights at the top of the bin that let you know when its bin is empty, or when it is in need of recharging or when it loses Wi-Fi.
