The Sennheiser Momentum 4s come with an excellent ANC feature, with a convenient on-ear control, as well as a convenient app. Its default sound delivers an intense thump, however instruments and vocals can be put in the background.

Sony's WH-1000XM5 are an excellent pair of headphones for music lovers who want to experience the most wireless over-ear headset. Their touch controls are simple to use and intuitive, and their battery can last for 30 hours with ANC shut off. They even have an auto-pause feature which will turn off your headphones when they're removed from your head to conserve battery.

The WH-1000XM5 is compatible with Sony's Headphones Connect app which offers an extensive range of features and can be used to personalize your audio experience. The app can be used to track location and customize the ambient sound effects based on the environment you are in. The microphone is also integrated for hands-free calls. The Sony WH1000XM5 is able to play music wirelessly using Bluetooth or wired via the cable included. They are compatible with aptX codecs, aptX HD codecs as well as adaptive codecs for high-quality audio through Bluetooth.

Like the XM4 The WH-1000XM5 is light and comfortable, with well-padded headbands and ear cups. They're comfortable to wear for long periods of time and are comfortable enough for long commutes and flights. They have good noise canceling performance that blocks out most background noise without compromising on clarity and clarity. The Sony WH-1000XM5 have an adequate amount of bass for closed back headphones and they have a superb soundstage that has the clear separation of vocals and instruments.

The low latency is an enormous plus. The lag is so low that it's almost invisible and they are able to be used for casual gaming. These are not the best for video gaming competitively, wireless headphones with Bluetooth but they're great for those who want to utilize them for media consumption or for making hands-free calls.

Sony is adamant about including smart features into its products and the WH1000XM5 is no exception. The active noise cancellation is one of the most effective I've ever tried, and they come with a set of smart functions to enhance the overall listening experience. Sony's DSEE Extreme Engine upscales compressed audio to near-hi-res quality. They're compatible with Sony's LDAC technology, which streams music with higher bitrates via Bluetooth.

2. Bowers & Wilkins PX7 S2

Bowers & Wilkins flagship bt headphones wireless that are the PX7 S2, have consistently appeared on the top lists of wireless headsets since the release of the first-generation PX7 in 2015. This puts them in the same class as Sony WH1000XM5 or Bose's QuietComfort. The PX7 S2 is the latest version that takes the first generation of headphones up a notch with improved ANC performance and a fresh look.

In the earcups, the 40mm bio cellulose drivers are bent to point straight at your eardrums, delivering an audio experience that's more intimate than most closed-back headphones can manage. It's a bold statement however, one that the PX7 S2 is able to deliver on. Vocals are clear and clear and bass is a deep and rumbly when it needs to be.

The PX7 S2 is also very good at voice calls. It has a crisp clean, clear sound that will not drown out your voice. They also offer a quick charge that gets you back fully charged in only two hours. Furthermore, they're compatible with high-resolution audio, thanks to an aptX adaptive Bluetooth codec that allows them to play music with 24-bit resolution.

The noise-canceling technology and improved audio performance are among the most important upgrades for most listeners. In our tests we were able to remove nearly all simulated aircraft noises with the PX7 S2. They also performed exceptionally well in Mozart's Et In Carnatus Est and Sanctus which offer excellent insight into the changing dynamics between the solo vocalist, the wind trio and orchestral accompaniment.

In addition to improved ANC In addition to improved ANC, the PX7 S2s include a range of other useful features that make them comparable to other top-rated noise-canceling headphones. They're completely wireless headphones with Bluetooth and have Bluetooth multipoint support, meaning that you can pair them with two devices at once. They also come with an inbuilt microphone that allows hands-free calls with your phone's assistant. They're also incredibly robust, with a premium feel and robustly-constructed construction that can last for years of regular use.

Of course they're not the perfect models. The clamp force of the models we tested were a little more than we'd like and there weren't as many apps features as other options. However, these aren't big complaints. The PX7 S2s is an excellent wireless headset that rivals other competitors in its class. It's difficult to imagine a rival to match them.

3. Focal Bathys Wireless

Focal Bathys is the best option for audiophiles who value high-quality sound and are in search of an ANC headphone that is wireless. The Focal Bathys were the first ANC headphones from an French audio company to use Bluetooth. They deliver incredible sound both in Bluetooth mode and when connected via USB to a device that supports true hi-fi listeners with up to 24 bit/192kHz.

The Bathys are stunning, with their glossy black finish and swooping curves that are like Focal's premium open back Elear and closed-back Celestee headphones. The Bathys are made from premium materials such as magnesium and aluminum that make them feel durable, comfortable, and well worth the price.

The Bathys Bluetooth headphones provide crisp, vibrant sound signature. They easily outperform consumer ANC devices with similar prices like the Sony XM5/5 and Bose QC45. Direct DAC audio mode allows them to be extended and makes them an excellent choice for true hifi enthusiasts.

The Focal &Naim app lets users to alter the headphone's playback controls and Bluetooth pairing preferences. Users can choose between quiet or soft intensities for ANC as well as adjust the brightness of the LEDs that are on the ear cups, and tweak EQ settings. The app is bare but offers enough functionality to warrant its purchase.

The only significant flaw is that the active noise cancellation doesn't quite match the quality of the competitors. The headphone isn't able to block out all the background noise like the most rated XM5 or AirPods Max, and its treble accuracy is subpar, with a muddy mid to high frequency that impedes the sound of instruments and vocals.

The Focal Bathys aren't the most portable headphones. They are not suitable for travel because their ear cups don't fold, and they weigh more than other models. The Bathys are best used at home for long listening sessions, or as an audio reference headset for audio engineering. Despite their size and bulk, the Bathys are surprisingly comfortable to wear for prolonged durations of time.

4. Sony WH-CH720N

The Sony WH-CH720N are an excellent pair of wireless over-ear headphones for the price. The noise-cancelling technology is excellent and does a great deal to reduce the background noise. They are great for commuters or travellers. Their matte finish and sturdy construction add a touch of high-end quality.

They are similar in design to Sony's more recent 1000X and XB910N headphones. They sport a slim headband, with the typical ear cup hinges and a solid plastic construction. They're light and comfortable to wear, although they feel a bit too compressed for my taste. In the box, they have a USB-C port for charging, an 3.5mm jack and a decent length cable. They are compatible with multipoint Bluetooth pairing, meaning you can connect to two devices at the same time should you choose to.

In my tests the CH720N's hybrid tech for noise cancellation did a fantastic job of reducing ambient noise. There were only a few blips when walking through Waterloo Station and London Victoria. The sound-silencers weren't able to block all sounds around them however, they struggled with lower frequencies sounds, such as the rumbling engine sounds of buses and trains.

Streaming music through the CH720N's Bluetooth connection was smooth and exhibited a low level of harmonic distortion. I tested a range of genres and found that they could handle the intricate interplay between instruments very well. It did a fantastic job of controlling the bass in rock tracks, and keeping the mix focused.

The Sony bt headphones Connect App allows you to customize the CH720N's multipoint connection and ANC settings to your liking. You can also add a variety of audio presets. You can also enable DSEE via the app, which increases audio quality and speeds up the removal of compressed audio content.

The WH-CH720N isn't equipped with a few of Sony's primetime features when compared to the XM5 (such as Speak-to -Chat and Quick Attention) they do have a solid feature set for PS130. 360 Reality Audio, smart controls and the DSEE upscaling are all included. The only thing that's missing is LDAC Bluetooth high-res audio support, which I think would have been a great inclusion.
