The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is an excellent choice if you are seeking a robot vacuum and mop that's middle-of-the-road. It has a great mopping capability, but it lacks some of the features of its more expensive counterpart.

During tests it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats out of medium-pile carpets. It does not use LIDAR, however, like cheaper models do to locate your home.

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the most highly-rated robots. It has a lot of features and impressive cleaning power, such as an area for dirt that is integrated into the base of charging. This robot can learn your habits for cleaning and suggest automated schedules to give you an effortless cleaning experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the setup process. Once the system is setup, you can start automated cleaning with a single button press. You can opt for an overall clean that focuses on getting rid of larger pieces of debris such as rice and cereal or go for two thorough mappings of your area to ensure that your home has a clean and tidy appearance.

This vacuum works well on floors that are unfinished and carpets with low pile. It sucks up large items and doesn't lose suction as quickly as some others do and can pick up pet hair without difficulty. It does have a hard time with plush or high-pile carpet, however iRobot says it will get better with the next models.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that is focused on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that uses a flat-fronted D-shaped design. The company hopes this will allow it to fit into the furniture and walls. It's a great improvement over the hockey puck-like design of the majority of robovacs. However, we found it to be incrementally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims the S9+ has a superior filter system that prevents tiny dust particles and allergens from circulating within your home. It's a nice claim however, we're not convinced that it's enough to justify the price cost.

Its smart navigation system employs a combination of sensors to keep track of your home's layout, and vSLAM technology to map your interior. This allows it to stay clear of obstacles like staircases and other barriers, and to tidy up your entire house in the most efficient manner possible. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and schedule cleaning times, and set up virtual boundary markers, so that it is aware of areas that need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robotic that is a combination of mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are just as good as those on more expensive models. The mopping system is better because its spinning pads scrub floors more efficiently than a vibrating pad.

The only downside is that it lacks an additional rubber brush for deeper cleaning, but that's a small price to pay if you want to get one of the best robots on the market. The dust tank on the robovac is larger than its competitors and filling it up only takes two or three times, even when you've got a lot of dirt.

For the mopping system, I was amazed by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. The two lowest mopping settings, which are less powerful than the high-powered settings, produce minimal noise, meaning you can work or even watch TV without being distracted. If it comes into contact with a wall or piece of furniture it gently smacks into it and then moves forward.

What sets the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly completely autonomously, top 10 Robot vacuums requiring only a little for human intervention. The robo-vac features a multi-function dock that automatically moves physical trash to the bin hidden from view, as well as washes and dry mop pads and replenishes its pure clean robot vacuum water tank. The app is capable of alerting you when something is in need of attention, for example, the clean water tank running low or a scheduled vacuuming session being cancelled due to a full dust bin.

You can also design and merge actual rooms to alter how the Q Revo manages your home. This is an excellent feature to have if you have several areas of your home with different floor materials or if there's clutter that must be cleaned out frequently, like clothes, toys, and books. The robo-vac is also very efficient and was among the top performers during my tests, picking up debris from carpets as well as hardwoods in its first run. It is able to even remove wet spills however I would recommend wiping them dry using a clean cloth before bringing the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a high-end robot vacuum and mop and more. It comes with a rotating mop and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It's similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also has a self-cleaning base station that automatically cleans and empty the mop pads, keeping them germ-free and ready for use again. It also comes with a sensor that recognizes obstacles better and prevents it from falling on furniture or other objects.

The most notable improvement over the ECOVACS the X1 Deebot is its sleeker, more modern design. This is thanks to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. Although it's still quite large--it's more than two feet tall and deep and weighs in excess of four pounds--the entire robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This version is also more efficient than the X1 version, since it has faster battery charging and can handle a complete cleaning of around 1,500 square feet with just one charge. It also comes with a larger and more robust dustbin that can store more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

The X2 Omni also has a more intuitive voice assistant and an app that can be used even if you are not at home. It also has more mopping options and an intelligent routing feature that allows you to clean certain rooms or areas of your home instead of just following a specific route.

The X2 Omni is the top 10 Robot vacuums mopping robot. Its mop pads rotating clean tough stains and its motor generates a lot of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is outstanding too and it increases suction when it detects carpets to ensure that it does a thorough job. It is equipped with a large rechargeable battery that lasts up to seven days. The mopping feature of the robot is also extremely effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a high-end model that has a range of features that aren't typically found on robots in this price range. It can build precise floor maps, recognize different types of flooring and is one of the few robots that automatically wash and dry its mop pads. These features are nice, but they also place the L10s in the luxury category. This could make it more expensive than what homeowners would need.

Created to resemble a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim machine with an elegant white finish highlighted by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is adorned with an enormous bumper that shields the furniture and vacuum cleaner as you move around your home. Behind the pane at the front is a second navigation technology with sensors that aid the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum there is a single button that acts as an on/off switch. The button will activate the vacuum. By pressing it again, you can turn it off and transmit it back to its base station. The control panel has a circular menu that lets you select cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons allow you to access the settings in the app, which allow you to customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

Like the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technology to map out your house. This helps the robot vacuum and mop effectively without getting stuck. The LIDAR helps the robot vacuum avoid obstacles and identify them, which is an excellent feature for homes with pets or children.

The L10s Ultra has a solid vacuuming capability that clears 98.4 percent of the debris from our hardwood floor test and getting rid of all but the most stubborn juice stains. Its mops are efficient, taking away 98.4% of debris on our wood, tile, and carpet tests. However, it wasn't as great at tackling sand on the floor or quaker oats on the carpet.
