The sash is an interior framing that moves vertically either up or down in windows that are open. This article will show you how to make several simple sash repairs.

Weather Stripping

Wooden window sashes can add an elegant look to your home. They are also durable and last for a long time provided they are properly maintained. However, they can be damaged or degrade as time passes due to exposure to the elements and normal wear and tear. Sash repair experts can restore windows back to their original condition and maintain their beauty much longer than replacement windows.

The first step to repair sash windows is to address weather stripping. It's found on both the sash as well as the frame. If it's loose or worn out, it could cause drafts and other issues. Remove the sash, and remove all the hardware including the parting beads, cords, and chains that help to hold the sash. Sash Weights

Sash weights can be replaced to improve the operation of your window sash, and also reduce the cost of energy.
