In my tests, the X2 Omni washed its pad in just over a second and then got to work. I noticed that it was more precise than other models, which seemed to follow the grid of rooms. It was able to navigate my rooms' corners and edges, and also create a "Zambani pattern" up and down the center of the room. It also returned to its OMNI station frequently to empty the dustbin and clean the mop with hot water prior to beginning another clean-up job.

Its navigation system is based on a basic random pathing algorithm and it lacks the ability to map rooms. This is why it's less effective as other models on this list. However it's still able navigate under furniture and into corners and its mopping feature was very effective during our tests, picking up stray pet hair and other debris easily.

Shark's iQ may not appear as well-built however it is superior in cleaning pet hair off all surfaces. It does a better job of cleaning carpets with low piles as well as floors that are not covered.
