The X2 Omni robot vacuum-mop is the latest model in Ecovacs line of robot vacuum mop hybrids. This model that is dry and wet includes the updated AIVI 3D2.0 lidar system Ecovacs, which offers improved mapping and obstruction avoidance. It uses dual laser LiDAR, which is similar to that found in self-driving vehicles. It can scan an area up to 32 feet by 360 degrees. This results in more precise mapping, faster response times, as well as better cleaning accuracy.

The X8 Hybrid looks like a regular robotic vacuum cleaner from the top with its circular design with sweeping wheels, as well as an elevated space for sensors. In our tests of hardwood floors and kibble the robot performed very well and was able to pick up everything from one grain of rice to several pieces of dog food in just one pass. It did have some issues with rugs, but generally speaking the vacuum cleaner is great for rooms with different flooring types and a mix of pets.

It's not cheap but if you're able to manage the price, it's an excellent buy for those who want to be able to leave their homes hands-free to go about other tasks or to take care of chores. The A4s Pro also offers a handy auto-cleaning mode that automatically boosts suction power to tackle tough dirt and spills, and it comes with an electric ElectroWall that lets you define boundaries where the robot isn't permitted to be allowed to enter.

This budget-friendly option from a popular upstart brand is the cheapest model we've tested yet and offers an incredible value for cost. The basic navigation system employs an extremely basic random pathing algorithm that isn't equipped with room mapping capabilities, making it less efficient than other models on this list. It's still able get under furniture and into the corners. Its mopping mode performed very well in our tests, picking up stray hair and other debris.

5. Shark iQ

Shark's iQ may not appear as sturdy, but it is better in removing pet hair from all surfaces. It is more effective of cleaning carpets with low piles as well as floors that are not covered.
