It comes with a variety of other features that make it an excellent choice for homes with a lot of space with its intelligent obstacle avoidance, which uses both a camera and processor-powered smarts to see obstacles. It's rarely tripped up or stuck during a cleaning cycle. In my tests it was the best at avoiding objects such as power cables. However, it's not as accurate in detecting pet waste and other dangers.

2. Eufy RoboVac X8 Hybrid

While Anker-owned Eufy has made an impact in low-cost robot vacuums it hasn't previously offered an all-in-one model that could also Mop vacuum Robot. The X8 Hybrid is a new model that has a wide range of modern features and can compete with more expensive models.

The main selling point of Eufy's this device is its laser navigation. Previous Eufy devices have built up an approximate map of your home by using infrared sensors and bumping into objects however the X8's laser mapping technology is far more precise. There's a basic mopping option that uses the same water tank as the vacuuming. This is ideal for spills that are not too serious, but you can't limit the amount of water it uses. That said, it does an admirable job of picking up pet hair, with a higher speed of pickup than the Roborock S7.

3. Miele RX2

Miele's RX2 robotic vacuum is known for its quiet, efficient appliances. It has a beautiful design, excellent navigation and a powerful cleaning power. But it has some operational issues which prevent it from being considered as the top overall smart robot vacuum.

The RX2 is equipped with a dual-sensor mapping technique that makes use of LIDAR to map the space, and a pair 3D scanning cameras for detecting and staying clear of obstacles (such as furniture legs or pet waste). Once mapped the app allows you to assign virtual no-go areas and preferred areas that the robot will automatically clean. You can also manually change cleaning modes, initiate cleaning manually, or view a live feed of the cameras onboard from the main screen.

The RX2's sensors are effective in registering furniture and other obstructions in real-time. The suction and sweeping capabilities are exceptional, taking away surface debris from carpets with medium pile as well as embedded dust on bare floors. But it's not the most flexible robot available. Like many others it's not a very good climber and has issues with things like thresholds made of metal transition strips.

The controls are more basic than the competitors. There is a cleaning button at the top and you can either start it with the app or by voice commands using Alexa or Google Assistant. You can also schedule weekly or daily cleanings, create no-go zones, and look up its history of cleaning. In a smart dark gray plastics, Ion feels sturdy and is attractive in your home. The dust bin on the rear is easily accessible for emptying, and taking out the filters is also a breeze.

5. Eufy 11S

Eufy 11S is a great choice if you want a vacuum cleaner that is easy to use and has no frills at a cost that is low. We love the 980 because it uses its iAdapt2.0 navigation sensors as well as visual simultaneity mapping and localisation (or vSLAM) to store the floor plan of your home. It will use this information to create a consistent and efficient cleaning path through each cycle. The result is cleaner floors and a more efficient vacuum cleaner than the majority of high-end robots.

Other features of the 980 include dual multi-surface brushes that grab dirt on carpets and hard floors and the spinning brush that sweeps debris into the robotic vacuum's bin. Its floor tracking sensors aid it navigate across furniture and along edges, and Cliff Detect keeps the Roomba from falling down stairs. It also automatically returns to its base station for easy recharges between sessions. While the 980's battery life and bin size aren't quite as impressive as some other robot vacuums, it's a reliable and solid machine that can keep your floors spotless for hours and hours.
