A robot vacuum is an excellent addition to any household with pets. It is able to easily clean up dander and hair. Some models also have mopping capabilities.

1. Roomba i7+

The Roomba I7+ is our most advanced robot vacuum. It was able to pick up 82 percent of pet hair, cat litter, and flour. It has technology for avoiding obstacles that detects everyday objects, such as socks and cables and is able to maneuver around them. It is always learning and improving which makes it the most intelligent vacuum we've ever seen. It is so confident that it will not leave behind pet poop, it offers the "Pet Owner Official Promise", where iRobot replaces your Roomba i7+ if you find it isn't able to properly eliminate solid pet waste.

The i7+ is a circular model similar to other Roomba models. It features a black oblong dimple in the middle that houses the navigation camera. The i7's base+ is slightly taller than previous Roomba models, as it houses the self-emptying bin. The start button comes with an LED ring that glows white when cleaning, red while charging, and blue when connected to Wi-Fi.

The i7+ was able to perform well on all types of flooring, including low-pile carpet. It was less likely to be stuck than the previous models and also picked up pet fur (and the clumps that go with it) easily. The i7+ comes with a Clean Base power cord and two bags for disposal, a virtual wall barrier and an additional filter.

The i7+ registered 77 decibels both in quiet and high mode. This is louder than many conversations however, it's not as loud as other auto vacuums we have tried. We also measured the suction of the i7+ in both modes and discovered that it pulled up a lot of dirt, even on hardwood floors.

2. Eufy RoboVac G30 Edge

The G30 Edge, the latest model from eufy's RoboVac range, is a budget-friendly version of this popular line. It features the company's smart dynamic navigation 2.0 and BoostIQ technology to trap pet hair with more power. It also has boundary strips you can set up to keep it away from areas you don't want it to clean such as an unclean pile of children's toys or a pile of cords behind the television.

Eufy's robots have always had a largely refined look to them, and this is no exception. The brushed black plastic trims on the dustbin and the bottom of the robot complement the bronze concentric circle on top. The vacuum also comes with three physical controls: a Play/Pause button which resembles the button on a CD player and a Recharge button to dock the G30 Edge and a Spot Clean button. Above them is a Wi-Fi status indicator.

Like the other vacuums in our review, the G30 Edge can be controlled remotely from your phone. The app shows the map of your home to allow you to monitor the robot. The "Find My Bot" feature lets you send the robot a signal that makes it play a loud tune until it's found, which is useful if you lose track of it while cleaning your house or if you are unable to reach the controls to locate it when it gets stuck in a place.

The G30 Edge's battery lasts about 100 minutes. It has anti-drop sensor to keep it from falling down steep steps or down stairs. The robot will automatically return to its charging base if its batteries are low. The battery can be bought for about $30.

3. Tikom R2

It's on the pricey side but it has a 4.5-star rating from customers, and its intelligent features are well worth the investment. It maps the area it's cleaning using a precise matrix grid, and its real-time object recognition enables it to avoid cords, shoes, socks and other objects. It can also maneuver around furniture and enter tight spaces.

This model is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant which means you can operate it with your voice. It comes with a large dirt bin that can store up to 30 days of debris. Once it's full it will be automatically empty. It comes with four cleaning modes as well as it comes with a HEPA air filter that eliminates airborne pollutants. It's a great option for busy homeowners who want a convenient way to keep their home clean without lifting a finger.

The Q5+ is a different robot vacuum made by Roborock S7 Max Ultra: Advanced Robot Vacuum Cleaner that's affordable and powerful. It comes with some of the same advanced features as more expensive models. It also has real-time hazards avoidance features with front-facing optic sensors. It's just not as well as the S8 in removing pet hair on bare floors, and does a less effective job at securing fine allergens like pet dander, which can escape through the gaps in its bristled rollers.

4. Deebot T10 Omni

The Deebot T10 Omni is one of the most advanced robot vacuums available that offers incredible vacuuming performance and the ability to add mopheads for scrubbing. It's also quiet at just under 66 decibels. Its incredible vacuuming capabilities and the flexibility of its app-based control make it an ideal option for homes with pets.

The T10 is the second generation of ECOVACS' Deebot vacuums, and it comes with a variety of new features. This two-in-one machine is a good choice for pet owners who would like to mop and vacuum their floors using the same machine. Its mops do an excellent job at picking up debris from hard floors and carpets and also removing stains. The mops can also be used to clean furniture and stairs legs, and they excel at picking up pet hair. The Groove has batteries that last around one hour in its most powerful mode. It also comes with a power saving 'Low mode which extends the runtime to almost two hours.

The mop tanks contain enough water to allow for multiple cleaning cycles before having to be empty. Additionally, the Groove's app allows you to control the operation. The app is very bare-bones however, and does not do much other than starting and stopping the machine as well as selecting the cleaning mode.

In our testing we discovered that the Groove could handle a range of surfaces from low-pile to high-pile carpet. It had some issues with bulky materials, but did excellently in maneuvering around obstacles. It also did an excellent job at picking up beads, sequins and pine cone seeds and even small hamster bedding shavings.

The Groove has a decent-looking design, and feels solid overall. It features a blend of matte and brushed finishes, robotvacuummops and also an on-board storage area for its brushroll cleaning tool. The Groove's brushroll is easily accessible by removing the brushroll compartment door and is able to be cleaned and removed with the included cleaning tool. The Groove's charging pins sensors and side brush can be removed for regular maintenance.
