1. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni robot vacuum-mop is the latest in Ecovacs line of hybrid robot vacuum mops. This wet/dry model includes the updated AIVI 3D2.0 lidar system from Ecovacs, which provides enhanced mapping and obstruction-free operation. The system is equipped with dual laser LiDAR, which is similar to that found in self-driving vehicles. It can scan up to 32 feet across by 360 degrees. This results in more precise mapping, faster response times, and better cleaning accuracy.

It also has an adjustable mopping pad made of chenille fabric, which makes it easier to scrub tough spots unlike traditional mopping. In my tests it was able to clean the X2 Omni washed its pad in just a few seconds and got to work. I noticed that it was more precise than other models that seemed to follow the grid of rooms. It was able to navigate my rooms with its corners and edges as well as make an "Zambani pattern" up and down the middle of the room. It returned to its OMNI Station regularly to empty the dustbin and clean the mop with hot water prior to beginning another cleaning task.

3. RoboVac X8 Hybrid

This is the first model of mopping from Anker which is well-known for its robot vacuums. It is equipped with enhanced intelligence and support for multiple maps, LIDAR scanning and twin-turbine technology that automatically adjusts for the type of surface you're cleaning. It's a great mid-range robotic vacuum cleaner, even if it doesn't quite deliver on its promise of being a one-stop shop for floor cleaning.

The X8 Hybrid looks like a standard robotic vacuum cleaner from the top, with its circular shape, sweeping wheels and an elevated space for sensors. Turn it upside down, however there's an electric floor brush as well as one side sweeper brush that pushes dirt from the edges of the machine into the main path of the robot's 'mouth'. In our hardwood floor and kibble tests the robot performed very well and was able to pick up everything from a single grain of rice to multiple pieces of dog food in just one go. It is a bit pricey, but if you can manage the price, this is a great option for those who wish to be able to leave their homes completely free to perform other tasks or take care of chores. This budget-friendly model from a well-known new brand is the most affordable we've ever tested and offers exceptional value for the money. Its navigation system is based on a very basic random pathing algorithm and it's not able to map rooms. This is why it's less effective as other models on this list. It's still able get under furniture and into the corners. And its mopping mode was very effective in our tests and picked up hairs that were straying and other debris.

5. Shark iQ

Shark's iQ may not be as well-built however, it's better at cleaning pet hair from all surfaces. It is more effective of cleaning low-pile carpet and floors that are not covered. It also makes use of intelligent-pathing navigational software to improve maneuverability. It also allows you to transfer it to a particular area, and its advanced set of automation features include no-go zones and scheduling.
