1. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni robot vacuum-mop is the latest model in Ecovacs line of hybrid robot vacuum mops. This model is equipped with the company's upgraded AIVI 3D 2.0 lidar system that provides improved mapping and obstacle avoidance. It uses dual laser LiDAR that is similar to the one used in self-driving vehicles. It can scan up to 32 feet by the 270-degree angle. That translates into more precise mapping, faster response times, as well as better cleaning accuracy.

It also comes with a rotating mopping mat made of chenille, making it easier to scrub hard spots than conventional mop. In my tests it was able to clean the X2 Omni washed its pad in just a few seconds and then got to work. I noticed that it was more precise than other models, which seemed to follow the grid of rooms. The X2 Omni was astonished during my tests, scoring excellent scores for debris removal and pet hair cleaning, as well as near-perfect results for cleaning crevices and edges.

The Deebot T10 is a fantastic robot vacuum that delivers impressive results. It was able to remove more than 96% of the debris we tossed at it our hardwood floors, which is an outstanding performance. It also did a fantastic job with tile and carpet, removing over 90% of dirt and other debris.

This robotic vacuum and mop has an enormous docking station that provides cool water cleaning for the mop pads, auto-emptying into a 3L plastic bag that's simple to replace, and hot-air drying for quick and simple maintenance. It also comes with a large tank of water that allows it to be rinsed and dried more often between mopping sessions.

It's a mid-range robot cleaner that's appealing, even if its claim of being a one-stop shop for floor cleaning does not make sense.

The X8 Hybrid looks like a standard robotic vacuum cleaner from the top with its circular shape with sweeping wheels, as well as a raised area for sensors. On the other side, you'll see a motorised floorbrush as well as a single side brush that moves dust from the edges into the main path of its'mouth.' These buttons can be used to create zones that are not allowed to be visited and to access real-time maps. It's also a little chatty and will inform you of what it's going to do next (start cleaning) or alert you if something is wrong.

4. ILIFE A4s

This high-tech vacuum model is able to pick up pet hair, kibble and other particles with impressive efficiency. It also maneuvers perfectly around furniture legs. It comes with a set of features that is impressive, which includes two cleaning modes as well as an automatic docking station and real-time obstacle avoidance technology. It's Wi-Fi-connected and best controlled through the Neato app which allows cleaning to be scheduled and the overall maintenance requirements be monitored. The X2 Omni is an excellent choice for large homes with carpet, hard floors and carpet, but it requires some advance planning to avoid getting stuck on power cords, toys or other obstacles that might be unexpected.

In our test of hardwood floors and kibble it performed well and was able to take everything from one grain of rice to multiple pieces of dog food in one go. It had some issues with rugs but, in general this vacuum cleaner is perfect for large rooms that contain different flooring types and a mix of pets.

It's a bit expensive however, if you are able to handle the cost it's an excellent buy for those who wish to leave their home free to do other tasks or to take care of chores. The A4s Pro has a convenient auto-cleaning mode that boosts suction to tackle difficult dirt or spills. It also comes with a battery powered ElectroWall to set boundaries for the robot.

This budget-friendly model from a popular upstart brand is the cheapest robot we've ever tested and provides an exceptional value for the money. The basic navigation system employs an extremely basic random pathing algorithm, but it doesn't have room mapping capabilities, which makes it less efficient than the other models on this list. However it's still able reach under furniture and in corners, and its mopping mode worked very well in our testing, picking up stray pet hair and other debris effortlessly.

5. Shark iQ

Shark's iQ may not be as durable however, it's better in removing pet hair from all surfaces. It is more effective of cleaning carpets with low piles as well as bare floors. It also makes use of the smart-pathing software for better mobility. It can be directed to a particular area and comes with a range of advanced automation features including no-go zones and schedules. It even lets you stop and restart the cleaning process, so it's perfect for households with pets.
