iRobot Vacuum and Mop Review

Contrary to other robot vacuums, this one isn't afraid of taking on the stairs. Like any mop or vacuum it is prone to getting blocked by debris, such as tennis shoes, jewelry, thread or other loose objects.

You can use the iRobot Home app to label rooms and set up no-go zones. It also lets you track the progress of your mops and their the status of its battery.

iRobot Combo j7+

The Combo J7+ is a part of iRobot's robot vacuum and mop lineup and combines the robotic cleaner's smart mapping capabilities and bissell robot vacuum the ability to deal with spills. It has the same acoustic sensor that is onboard and iAdapt 2.0 Navigation that is used in other Roomba models and maps your home seven times faster than previous versions. It can also be set to keep Out Zones and Clean Zones to tell the shark robot vacuum self empty which rooms it should stay clear of and when it should clean them.

The robotic arm is the main feature of the j7. It keeps the mop pad in place when not in use, and lowers it when carpeting or hard flooring. The idea is to not spray water on the rug and the Combo j7+ does very well during my tests. The robot backed away when it came across an area rug and did not attempt to cross it, even when I moved the rug around a few times.

The arm comes with a 240mL tank, which can be easily removed and filled. This makes it easier to use than the mop pads on other 2-in-1 robotic arms. It uses iRobot PrevisionVision technology to avoid obstacles, which is more advanced than other systems of this type.

iRobot Combo i5

Its vacuuming is done by a specialised bin that can hold up to 60 days worth of debris and iRobot claims reduces the amount of dust re-released into the air during the process. The i3 Plus still has a bunch of other excellent features like its advanced cleaning system with 10x power-lifting suction and a three-stage process for cleaning. It also has a textured surface that helps protect against fingerprints, dust and hairs of pets.

It performs well on bare floors and cleans most debris however, it was a bit difficult with pet hair on low pile carpets. It is quieter and does a great job on carpets with high pile. The i3 is a bit more expensive than the Roborock S4 Max but it comes with a self-emptying system that emptys the dirtbag, refills its water reservoir and cleans its mop pads.

With the i3 app you can create schedules to clean at a time that is suitable for your requirements. You can also utilize your voice assistant to control your robot to start or stop the cleaning. It also monitors your home's unique floor layout to give you a customized schedule and cleaning routines. It utilizes the latest sensors for mapping to navigate hardwood and carpet and learns about your habits to optimize performance.

iRobot Combo i2

The Combo i2 robot vacuum and mop is the latest product from iRobot. It is a combination of iRobot's smart floor cleaning technology to make it a perfect choice for homes with hard flooring and carpets or rugs.
